Leadership team

Glenn Dodson is currently the longest-serving member of the Trust having been with the service from it's very early beginnings. Glenn began as a social worker for the Trust and quickly grew into the role of key administrator and manager of services. In his role as CEO, Glenn holds responsibility for the business/operations of the Trust and his passion is in areas of service and community development.

 

 



Kim Sutton has been with the Trust for 15 years.  Kim has come through the ranks of the trust so has worked at all levels.  As Director of Clinical Practice her Nursing background contributes to her focus on the organization always looking to improve the care that service users receive.

 

 

 

 

Steve Cate is one of the newer members to the Trust having started in his role as Clinical Manager in 2010. His background in social work and experience in quality assurance auditing in the social service and health sectors have brought a systems-development focus to the Trust. Steve's dual passions are to see that people who receive support, and that those who work for the Trust have an excellent, supreme-quality experience.

 

 

 

Stella Kinniburgh has been with the Trust for 11 years and is the Clinical Team Leader for the Adult Community Mental Health Workers and Mobile Medication teams. Having worked as a Nurse and Social Worker for more than 20 years (the last 15 have been in Mental Health), Stella sees her passions as being to support people to thrive in the community and to embark on a journey of recovery with them.

 

 

 

Nelida Pennington has been with the Trust for 14 years. She has worked within a variety of the services offered by Stepping Stone, and for the last 7 years as Clinical Team Leader of the Adult Residential Service. Nelida is a Registered Nurse who has also completed other post-graduate mental health studies. She is committed to providing an excellent and well-run service, supporting the recovery journeys of people who stay with us.

 

 


Sharon Schwalger was employed by Stepping Stone Trust as a community support worker in 1996.  She became the Team Leader of the Community Support team before taking on the role of setup and Team Leader for the Long Term Residential service where she has been since 2005.  Sharon has a passion to support residents with chronic and long term mental health issues to maximise their independence and quality of life. 

 

 


Tim Marshall started with the Trust in a casual relief position while still a social work student. He has worked in various parts of the service for the last 14 years and currently oversees the growing and changing work that is the respite services. Tim’s current goal is to complete his post-grad Social Work qualification. His work satisfaction is to ‘see people learning to get the most from life despite their adversity and in becoming part of that, it’s worth getting out of bed for.’

 

 

 

Yano Scalia has been with the Trust since 2000 at which time he was employed as a Community Support Worker.  Since then he has become the Clinical Team Leader completed studies in counselling, supervision and mental health.  His areas of special interest include Talking-Treatments, clinical supervision and psycho-therapy.  He has a passion for working with young people and their families to gain insight and understanding in progressing their journey towards recovery. 

 

 



Charlotte
is new in her role as Clinical Team Leader for our Youth Services.  She brings strong youth work and leadership experience to this position and has recently completed her counselling studies.  Charlotte has a passion for creating communities which support young people’s recovery.

 

 

 

 


 

An advisory and support team to senior management has been established to focus on key strategic operational areas: 

  • Human Resources (Annette Richards)
  • Quality and Risk (Stuart Gray)
  • Finances/Accountant (John Exton) 
  • Facilities/Maintenance (Bernard Caughey).
